One Piece Heroines — new anime announced

Toei Animation announced an anime adaptation of the One Piece Heroines novels — stories centered on the women of the One Piece world. A spin on the franchise that puts Nami, Robin, and more front and center; details have been rolling out through official channels since.

THE ONE PIECE remake gets its date

WIT Studio’s THE ONE PIECE — the prestige remake of the manga’s opening saga — was confirmed for Netflix in February 2027, with all episodes of its first production dropping at once. The remake is the “on-ramp” Netflix hopes converts millions of live-action viewers into anime fans.

Live-action Season 3 rolls

Confirmed at the event: Season 3 of the Netflix live-action would begin shooting in September 2025, targeting a 2027 release window. Combined with later announcements, the live-action’s 2027 arrival now lines up with the film GOD VALLEY and the manga’s 30th anniversary.

The anime’s then-present

The Egghead arc had resumed its Japanese broadcast on April 6, 2025 (Sundays) — with the production changes that would be announced that October still to come.

A year on, every major promise from this event has either shipped or has a date. That’s a franchise running on time.
