Season 1

Season 1

East Blue: Luffy sets sail, gathers Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji, and becomes the Worst in the East. All eight episodes dropped at once on Netflix.

Watch on Netflix · August 31, 2023 · 8 episodes

S1 E1 · 65 min

Romance Dawn

Monkey D. Luffy sets out to find the One Piece. He frees Koby from Alvida, reaches Shells Town, and forms a tenuous alliance with pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro and thief Nami.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Romance Dawn — chapters 1–7 (vols. 1–2)
Anime: Episodes 1–3

Covers Luffy’s childhood with Shanks, the straw hat, eating the Gum-Gum Fruit, leaving Dawn Island, Alvida, meeting Koby, and recruiting Zoro from Morgan’s base in Shells Town. The live-action folds Nami in earlier than the manga (she first tags along before Orange Town). Garp is introduced as Luffy’s grandfather much sooner than in the manga’s East Blue stretch.

S1 E2 · 56 min

The Man in the Straw Hat

Luffy, Zoro, and Nami are trapped on an island ruled by Buggy the Clown. Koby joins the Marines and starts to prove himself.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Orange Town — chapters 8–21 (vols. 2–3)
Anime: Episodes 4–8

The Buggy arc: Chop-Chop Fruit, Cabaji, Mohji, and Luffy’s first real pirate-captain fight. The show keeps Buggy’s cartoon body-split gags in live action. Koby’s Marine enlistment and Helmeppo’s comeuppance run in parallel, which the manga treats more briefly here. Nami still double-crosses the boys for treasure — her Arlong secret is seeded, not paid off.

S1 E3 · 59 min

Tell No Tales

The crew lands in Syrup Village and meets Usopp, who introduces them to Kaya, a sickly shipyard heiress watched by overbearing staff. Vice Admiral Garp starts hunting Luffy.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Syrup Village (first half) — chapters 22–32 (vols. 3–4)
Anime: Episodes 9–13

Usopp’s lies, Kaya, Merry, and the Kuro / Klahadore plot are set up. Garp’s pursuit is a live-action expansion: the manga barely uses Garp in East Blue. Jango, Sham, and Buchi (the Nyaban Brothers) are condensed. The Going Merry is still Kaya’s gift — the emotional core is the same.

S1 E4 · 63 min

The Pirates Are Coming

Luffy, Zoro, and Nami fight through Kaya’s mansion, now a prison. Usopp enlists Koby, Helmeppo, and the Marines. The Black Cat Pirates’ plan breaks.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Syrup Village (climax) — chapters 33–41 (vols. 4–5)
Anime: Episodes 14–18

Kuro’s three-year con, the “pirate attack” ruse, and Usopp’s first real stand. The live-action leans harder on Garp/Koby/Helmeppo as backup. Usopp joining and the Merry launching still close the arc. Captain Kuro’s “stealth steps” are restaged as live-action speed rather than manga speed-lines.

S1 E5 · 52 min

Eat at Baratie!

The crew reaches the sea restaurant Baratie. Sanji, Zeff, and a pirate fleet collide. Luffy eats more than he can pay for.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Baratie (first half) — chapters 42–55 (vols. 5–6)
Anime: Episodes 19–24

Sanji’s introduction, Zeff the “Red Leg,” Fullbody, and Don Krieg’s fleet on the horizon. Gin’s starving raid and Sanji feeding him (the risotto plate) is here or straddles into episode 6 depending on cut. Mihawk’s cameo against Krieg’s armada is the live-action’s first look at a Warlord — same shock as the manga.

S1 E6 · 55 min

The Chef and the Chore Boy

Baratie’s payoff: Sanji’s past with Zeff, Krieg’s assault, and Luffy asking Sanji to join as cook.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Baratie (climax) — chapters 56–68 (vols. 7–8)
Anime: Episodes 25–30

The rock-and-sea backstory (Zeff giving up his leg / food) is kept. Pearl, Gin’s betrayal of Krieg, and Sanji leaving the restaurant match the manga. Live-action compresses kitchen staff (Patty, Carne) and trims some of the Krieg fleet fights. Sanji joins; the crew is four plus Nami still not officially “in.”

S1 E7 · 59 min

The Girl with the Sawfish Tattoo

Nami’s story surfaces. The crew sails into Arlong’s occupied village and the truth about the sawfish tattoo.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Arlong Park (first half) — chapters 69–80 (vols. 8–9)
Anime: Episodes 31–37

Cocoyasi, Nojiko, Genzo, Bellemere’s orange grove, and Arlong’s eight-year occupation. The live-action keeps the Bellemere execution as the emotional engine. Hatchan, Chew, and Kuroobi appear in compressed form. Nami’s map work for Arlong and the “Nami is a pirate” heel-turn land the same as the manga, with less village-by-village padding than the anime.

S1 E8 · 50 min

Worst in the East

Arlong Park falls. A pirate crew is born. The East Blue closes; the Grand Line waits.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Arlong Park climax + Loguetown tease — chapters 81–100 (vols. 9–12)
Anime: Episodes 38–45 (Loguetown 45–53 is only teased)

Luffy’s “Nami is my friend” storm, the Arlong Park smash, and Nami’s official join. Bounties post: Luffy 30 million. Live-action folds a Loguetown taste (Smoker, Dragon in some cuts of later seasons’ setup) more into Season 2. Season 1’s finale is Arlong Park, not a full Loguetown arc — that’s a deliberate split vs the manga, which does Loguetown before Reverse Mountain.

Season 2

Season 2 — Into the Grand Line

Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Laboon, Whisky Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. Chopper joins. Baroque Works steps into the light. All eight episodes dropped March 10, 2026.

Watch on Netflix · March 10, 2026 · 8 episodes

S2 E1 · 66 min

The Beginning and the End

Roger’s last words in Loguetown echo forward. The Straw Hats restock in the Town of Beginnings and Endings. Smoker, Tashigi, and Dragon collide with Luffy before Reverse Mountain.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Loguetown + Reverse Mountain start — chapters 96–105 (vols. 11–12)
Anime: Episodes 45–53 (Loguetown) and 53–54 (Reverse Mountain start)

Live-action finally does Loguetown: Roger’s execution flashback, Garp and Roger’s son (Ace, unnamed or hinted), Smoker, Tashigi, Zoro’s cursed kitetsu luck, and Dragon blocking Smoker. Baroque Works (Miss All Sunday, Mr. 5, Miss Valentine) hunting Zoro for killing Mr. 7 is a live-action stitch from the manga’s Mr. 7 gag. Reverse Mountain is the cliffhanger into episode 2.

S2 E2 · 63 min

Good Whale Hunting

The Going Merry climbs Reverse Mountain and meets Laboon. Crocus explains a fifty-year promise. The Rumbar Pirates’ song hangs over the Grand Line.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Reverse Mountain — chapters 101–105 (vol. 12)
Anime: Episodes 53–62

Laboon ramming the Red Line, Crocus the lighthouse doctor, and the Rumbar Pirates (Brook’s crew, unnamed-as-Brook if the show holds Brook) leaving the whale. Mr. 9 and Miss Wednesday’s “hunt the whale” plot from the manga is in the title. Live-action may compress the Knock Up Stream lore. This is the emotional Grand Line “you are here” episode — same as the manga’s first Grand Line chapters.

S2 E3 · 63 min

Whisky Business

Cactus Island. Mayor Igaram throws a party. Nami and Zoro learn Whisky Peak is a Baroque Works kill-house. Miss Wednesday is not who she seems.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Whisky Peak — chapters 106–114 (vols. 12–13)
Anime: Episodes 63–67

Igaram, Mr. 8, Miss Monday, the fake welcome, Zoro vs a hundred bounty hunters (restaged at live-action scale), and Princess Vivi unmasked as Miss Wednesday. Mr. 9. The Crocodile / Baroque Works number system is explained. Live-action can show Miss All Sunday (Lera Abova) more aggressively than the manga does this early. Same twist: the town is the enemy.

S2 E4 · 54 min

Big Trouble in Little Garden

The prehistoric island. Giants Dorry and Brogy’s century-long duel. The crew is prey, guests, and eventually friends.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Little Garden (first half) — chapters 115–122 (vols. 13–14)
Anime: Episodes 70–74

Dorry and Brogy, dinosaurs, the Elbaph honor code, and Nami’s fever starting (Drum Island fuse). Live-action has to sell giant scale; the manga’s gag-to-awe swing is the point. Baroque Works’ Mr. 5 / Miss Valentine may overlap from Whisky Peak into this island as in the manga.

S2 E5 · 57 min

Wax On, Wax Off

Mr. 3’s wax-wax fruit turns Little Garden into a gallery of statues. The crew fights a candle assassin and gets off the island.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Little Garden (climax) — chapters 123–129 (vols. 14–15)
Anime: Episodes 75–77

Mr. 3 (David Dastmalchian) and his wax prison, Miss Goldenweek’s colors, the wax-wax fruit, and the giants helping the Merry leave. The title is Karate Kid; the plot is Daz Wax. Vivi fully joins the voyage toward Alabasta. Nami’s illness is now undeniable — cue Drum.

S2 E6 · 55 min

Nami Deerest

Drum Island. Nami is dying of a rare disease. The kingdom of sakura and tyrants. A reindeer doctor is rumored in the snow.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Drum Island (opening) — chapters 130–140 (vols. 15–16)
Anime: Episodes 78–85

Nami’s fever (from Little Garden insects in the manga), Wapol’s exile-and-return, Dalton, and the first sight of Tony Tony Chopper. Live-action has to show Chopper as a reindeer who ate the Hito Hito no Mi — VFX-heavy, same character beat. “Nami Deerest” is the pun; the story is get-Nami-to-the-castle.

S2 E7 · 60 min

Reindeer Shames

Chopper’s past with Dr. Hiriluk and Dr. Kureha. Why the island hates the reindeer. Why he still wants to be a doctor.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Drum Island (Hiriluk) — chapters 140–147 (vols. 16–17)
Anime: Episodes 85–90

Hiriluk’s fake-doctor kindness, the cherry-blossom lie, Kureha, and Chopper eating the human fruit. Live-action (Mikaela Hoover as Chopper, Mark Harelik as Hiriluk, Katey Sagal as Kureha) is the emotional center of Season 2. Wapol’s Baku Baku no Mi still looms.

S2 E8 · 63 min

Deer and Loathing in Drum Kingdom

Wapol returns. The castle. The sakura miracle. Chopper joins the Straw Hats. Alabasta — and a Warlord — wait on the horizon.

Spoiler — manga & anime alignment

Manga: Drum Island climax + Alabasta tease — chapters 148–154+ (vols. 17)
Anime: Episodes 90–91 (Drum end); Alabasta begins 92+

Wapol’s return, the Isshi-20, Hiriluk’s sakura blooming as snow, Chopper’s “nakama” join. Live-action can tease Crocodile (Joe Manganiello) and Baroque Works’ Alabasta job as the Season 3 hook. Manga readers know Alabasta is next; the show is allowed to show the Warlord’s face earlier than chapter 155. Season 3 is titled The Battle of Alabasta (2027).

Season 3

Season 3 — The Battle of Alabasta

Netflix has confirmed Season 3. Production wrapped in Cape Town. Alabasta, Vivi’s homeland, rebellion, and Crocodile. Episode count and titles are not posted on Netflix yet.

Confirmed returning: Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, Taz Skylar, Lera Abova, Charithra Chandran, Mikaela Hoover. New: Xolo Maridueña (Ace), Joe Manganiello (Crocodile). Episode titles are not on Netflix yet.
