Netflix’s Tudum put official numbers on the live-action’s biggest season yet: Season 3 is titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, production wrapped in late June after months of filming in Cape Town, and four new recurring cast members join the desert kingdom:
- Emilio Sakraya as Koza — the rebel leader whose path crosses Luffy’s in Alabasta’s civil war
- Omid Abtahi as Toto — Koza’s father, keeper of the oasis
- Jamie Ward as Pell — the kingdom’s guardian falcon
- Nabeel Khan as Chaka — the other guardian, protector of the palace
They join the returning crew — Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd and the rest — with Xolo Maridueña confirmed as Ace and Joe Manganiello’s Crocodile stepping fully into the light as Mr. 0. New episodes arrive in 2027, squarely inside the franchise’s biggest year: the manga’s 30th anniversary and the God Valley film share the calendar.
Why it matters: Alabasta is the arc that turned One Piece from a fun adventure into an epic — a kingdom-wide war, a princess’s confession in the rain, and the crew’s first true test against a Warlord. It is also the arc the live-action has been building toward since Season 1 named Crocodile in the shadows.
